The Boston Celtics have another busy week ahead, taking on the Minnesota Timberwolves and having a back-to-back with the Philadelphia 76ers over the weekend.  The Celtics suffered a tough loss last night at the Milwaukee Bucks and now sit only one game above .500.  This is a big week for the green as they need to snap out of the funk they have been in for a while now.  Sweeping the week would put them four games over .500 and make them feel a whole lot better about themselves.

The games against Philadelphia in particular are very important as the 76ers currently lead the Celtics in the division and have the ability to establish some breathing room early in the season.  The Celtics, I am sure, are not overly worried as they really don’t care about where they finish in the standings as long as they make the playoffs.

What can head coach Doc Rivers do to get his team rolling again?  I am really not sure, just something seems to be off.  There does not seem to be the same amount of energy coming out of that locker room then in years pass.  Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in particular have had pretty quiet seasons and Garnett is usually the backbone of the team.  He just does not appear to be engaged as he usually is.  Who on the Celtics is the team’s spark right now?  They really don’t have that guy at the moment and need to find someone who can give them good energy.

The Celtics are facing a dangerous period ahead and have to figure out something in order to stay afloat.
