Denver Nuggets Content With Playing .500 Basketball, Says Andre Miller

The Denver Nuggets are playing like a .500 NBA team and feeling like one. They’re upbeat one game and then they’re down the next game.

But George Karl’s team continues to look for that consistency they so badly need.

The Nuggets won at the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday this week and then lost at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. They were fortunate in many ways to get that win against Detroit but couldn’t sustain the effort in their loss to the Timberwolves.

The Nuggets are the best definition of a so-so team.   They’re definitely so-so and that’s about it.

Denver guard Andre Miller has been having mixed emotions about his team’s performances.

“I guess it was a sense of urgency tonight,” he said after the win at Detroit.“We got off to a sluggish start again, but we were able to find a way to get some energy in the game and force some turnovers and play Nuggets basketball.”

So what is Nuggets basketball? Well, like any basketball, it simply means doing what it takes to get the win.

The defense, like the rest of the team, has also been so-so at times.

It has kind of been like that all season, but it is a tough road swing and we needed this win to go into Minnesota and try to get that one ,” Miller said.

The Nuggets weren’t successful at Minnesota and their team play wasn’t the greatest How effective of a team they are is what will determine how far the Nuggets advance.

“We were way behind as far as the basketball we wanted to play, but we are finding a way to stay around .500,” Miller said.
