Christmas Treats In Los Angeles In 2012
If you are a fan of the National Basketball Association, then I have the place that you would want to be on Christmas Day. If you are still searching for that gift for the fan, send them to Los Angeles for a doubleheader of action as the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers are both hosting games on the holiday at the Staples Center. The Lakers face the New York Knicks at noon Pacific Time before the Clippers host the Denver Nuggets at 7:30 that night.
There aren’t many other places for a sports fan to be on a holiday than that. Who wouldn’t want to go see two NBA games on the same day in the same place? It would be very similar to the days during the NCAA Tournament where you can stay in one place and see four games during one day. The best part of this doubleheader of action is the fact that it is three of the best teams in the league together in one place in one day.
I wish I could head out there myself and see this Christmas doubleheader happen. It sounds like a great present to unwrap for the sports fan. The NBA has made Christmas Day their holiday just like Thanksgiving Day is taken by the National Football League. It has become a spotlight for the league’s brightest stars and biggest teams. It has grown in recent years from just two games to five games this season. I know there are a lot of people who will finish their Christmas morning of presents and spend the rest of the day in front of the TV watching the NBA.
