Jared Sullinger is Underrated

Boston Celtics rookie forward Jared Sullinger has been on a great stretch recently and as a result has seen his minutes increase. The Celtics should continue to play him not only because he can really help them but also to increase his trade value just in case they need to use him in a future deal.
In last night’s game against the Golden State Warriors, Sullinger played 25 minutes and had 12 points and 8 rebounds. That is a great line for the team and those are the type of minutes he should expect to get from here on out. At this point in time Sullinger is playing much better than Brandon Bass and should be playing more than him. Bass is really struggling with his jump shot and Sullinger is really a similar player except that he is almost ten years younger than Bass. That isn’t a huge deal but the team really needs to see what they have in Sullinger. Bass has been ineffective for the most part and has actually been hurting the team more than helping them.
Sullinger should start from here on out. It is time for Jason Collins to just leave. He gives the team nothing except for an extra five fouls. But in the NBA, no one really ever fouls out, so what is the point? Sullinger obviously gives up a few inches to Collins, but he is so much better in every facet of the game. He rebounds well and can also score in the post. The Celtics need more from that type of player.
Jared Sullinger is having a nice rookie season and needs to play more minutes for the Celtics.
