Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard at loggerheads
Troubles are stacking up for the Los Angeles Lakers, the last thing that they need is a feud between two of their biggest stars.
It appears that Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant are at logger heads as the spectacle that is the Lakers’ season continue to develop.
On the relationship between the two all-stars Howard said,
“We have to play like we like each other. Even if we don’t want to be friends off the court, when we step in between the lines we have to respect each other.
“It really starts off the court. I think you have to have that relationship and that chemistry off the court.
“If you’re an alpha male, you don’t have to always show that you’re the alpha male. Just be who you are.”
Kobe is used to power struggles with two alpha males on the two sides and it has obviously drawn conclusions from the time that Kobe shared the court with Shaquile O’Neal.
“Myself and Dwight we’re finishers,” Kobe said.
“I think that’s how it should operate.
“I sacrificed quite a bit with individual numbers and MVPS and NBA Finals and all this other stuff. Shaq and I were a different dynamic. You’re not going to find another duo like that ever.”
With the two main stars on this team appearing to be at each other the Lakers’ struggles are not going to ease up anytime soon and more and more headlines are expected which would rival the horror stories being cooked up in Hollywood.
None the less Mike D’Antoni has got his work cut out if he is to turn this season around and get everyone moving in the same direction.
