Brooklyn Nets Player Being Questioned In Sexual Assault Case

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Brooklyn Nets appear to have a bit of a PR crisis on their hands. An unnamed member of the team is currently being investigated for sexual assault. This not a good look for the team or the league.

Police sources have confirmed that a member of the Brooklyn Nets basketball team and his associates are being questioned in connection with a sexual assault that allegedly happened inside a Philadelphia hotel.

According to sources, a 21-year-old female filed a complaint alleging that she was sexually assaulted inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Center City at about 4 a.m. Tuesday.

The team has said they are aware of what is going on but either way, this isn’t good.  I am not sure when a name will come out but it will not look good either way.  The league is trying to clean up their image but this will not help.  I’m not saying they have a bad image, but having stuff like this happen is such a bad, bad look for a league.

We will have to follow this story closely.  I know that David Stern and the rest of the higher ups are looking at this closely.  They need to make sure the league doesn’t get dragged through the mud here.  If the assault did happen, then the court of law will have to take over.  The league has seen stuff like that before, but it is still never good to deal with.

Stay tuned for more details about this story.
