Los Angeles Lakers In Deep Trouble

This has been a season that a lot of fans of the National Basketball Association didn’t see coming. There has been the domination of the Los Angeles Clippers while in the same building, the Los Angeles Lakers have fallen on very hard times. This may be the season where the Lakers don’t make the playoffs. I know that a lot of fans can’t see that happening but it appears more likely.

The Lakers have gotten very old in a hurry with Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant. While Bryant is still one of the top players in the whole NBA, Gasol is now out with a concussion and Nash has returned recently from a broken leg. The biggest issue for the Lakers though has been Dwight Howard. Howard has come in and done basically nothing for his new team. Howard wanted so badly to go to Los Angeles and when he got there, he didn’t help the Lakers become a better team.

I will predict right now that the Lakers don’t make the playoffs. There will be major changes with the Lakers coming before next season gets underway as ownership won’t put up with failure especially when the Clippers are doing so well. There is no doubt that Nash and Gasol will be gone by next season and I wouldn’t be surprised if Bryant wants changes to happen as well or he will retire. This is not a good time to be involved with the Lakers as the ship is sinking faster than anyone would have expected.
