The Portland Trail Blazers have a really young squad and have gotten off to a very decent start this year. However, They have a ton of problems on their bench and they need to shore that up if they want a shot at going deep in the playoffs this year. With that being said, Michael Beasley should be the highest player on the list of management to acquire by the NBA trade deadline. Why? Because Michael Beasley is a guy that can do a lot of things off the bench.
Beasley would bring the ability to score and rebound off the bench, and give the Blazers a player they can turn too consistently on the 2nd unit. He can play the 3 or the 4 so it gives the Blazers options. If they can figure out a way to make this trade happen, they’d be in a much better shape for sure.
Why would the Phoenix Suns make this trade? Simple. They’re absolutely terrible and have no chance at being good any time soon. They should be focused on getting several draft picks or a young player in return they can focus on. That’s where the Blazers could come in and rob them so to speak.
Beasley has had such an up and down career, but if you look at it: he hasn’t been a part of a winner yet. I don’t think he’s matured the way he needs to mature, and he’s still searching for the right team. If he can get into the right environment, I think he’d end up being a pretty good pro.
Either way, the Blazers would be the winner of a trade for Beasley and they should certainly take a harder look.
