Goran Dragic is the Only Bright Spot For the Phoenix Suns

Goran Dragic is starting to emerge as the Phoenix Suns‘ leader on and off the court. In a season full of struggles and disappointments, Dragic is putting together one really nice season so far. Averaging 14 points, 6 assists, and 3 rebounds, and is starting to come to life for a lifeless squad. Even though they just fired their coach and hired Lindsay Hunter, Dragic, I believe, could end up being the one guy to really improve. Hunter is a former guard and had a really nice career and I believe he’s going to be able to continue teaching Dragic how to play in this league.

If Dragic continues to improve his game, I can see a few All-Star games in his future. Frankly, Dragic doesn’t have a ton of help on his team so it’s going to be really important for him to grow and fight through the bad teams. That’s exactly what a leader is supposed to do, and Dragic is still growing in that room. I’m a big fan of this guy and I think the Suns have a good piece to build around as they move forward in this process. Hopefully they don’t panic and trade him (Steve Nash) in hopes to build around the draft because that would be a dire mistake.
We’ll see what happens with this organization, but at least they have Dragic to groom as their leader. He has the opportunity to really grow and impress the organization and their fan base.
