Washington Wizards On Fire Since John Wall’s Return

At the beginning of the season, the Washington Wizards were considered one of the biggest laughing stocks of the NBA as they just couldn’t seem to get anything going after starting the year off with an 0-12 record. While things didn’t pick up quickly after that, the Wizards are being seen as one of the hottest teams in the league over the last couple of weeks as they’ve won seven of their last 10 games and one of the main reasons why they’ve been seeing so much success is because of a healthy John Wall.

After missing the first 32 games of the season with an injury, Wall is slowly working his way up to return to his dominant level as he’s playing just over 25 minutes per game in the nine games he’s played in so far while averaging 14.1 points per game to go along with 6.7 assists per game. For a player that is just starting to get comfortable again when it comes to playing, this is impressive for Wall and Washington hopes he’s only going to get better and better over the course of the regular season.

The playoffs may be a long shot at this point, but crazier things have happened and it should be interesting to see if the Wizards can continue to this recent hot streak over the course of the rest of the regular season. If they do, it will just show how valuable of a player Wall is to this team and make it difficult not to wonder how things could have played out differently if he was around at the beginning of the season.
