Golden State Warriors Center David Lee Worthy of All Star Spot This Season

With a roster full of talent, the Golden State Warriors certainly have what it takes to be a threat come playoff time if they continue playing at this level for the rest of the season. One of the main reasons why the Warriors have seen so much success this season is due to the play of David Lee and thanks to his strong performances–the center was able to earn a reserve spot on this year’s All Star team.

Lee has basically been a double-double machine for Golden State this season as he’s averaging 19.6 points per game to go along with 10.8 rebounds–making him a dangerous threat just about every time he steps foot on the court. In fact, Lee has been on fire as of lately as he’s recorded a double-double in four of his last five games.

It may just be an All-Star game, but earning a spot as a reserve is quite the accomplishment considering how many talented players are in the Western Conference. As mentioned before, Lee is one of the main reasons why the Warriors have been so successful this season and it should be interesting to see how things play out over the rest of the regular season.

If Lee continues to play at this high level, Golden State may be difficult to contain once the playoffs roll around. Then again, that’s still a few months away–so let’s just focus on Lee accomplishing an All-Star bid for now.
