The Indiana Pacers have done something this season that no other NBA team will be able to do. One of the most underrated and overlooked teams in the league, the Pacers are finally starting to put it all together. Indiana is finally starting to get some respect for the team that they have been  trying to put together for the future.

On Wednesday, in a hostile environment, the Pacers capped off the only set of back-to-back-to-back games by any team in the league this season. The Pacers also beat the world champion Miami Heat last Friday. Indiana will close out a wild week with a home game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday. A win against the Raptors could also mark a record-breaking winning streak at home for the Pacers.

Indiana is in competition to be one of the best teams in their conference, as well as one of the best teams in the league. Much of the NBA may have been sleeping on the production and possibilities of the Indiana Pacers, but they may start to see what this team is bringing to the table. Several teams had three games in three nights last season, but it’s still a serious challenge to win all three of the games in a row.

The Indiana Pacers have won three games in three days three times previously. In 1979, 1980, and 1981, the Indiana Pacers took three games in three nights. This distinction shows that this young team not only represents the Pacers of the past, but that they also respect the possibilities of the Pacers for the future.
