Pau Gasol to Miss Six Weeks With Foot Injury
The hits keep coming for the Los Angeles Lakers this season. Pau Gasol injured his foot on Tuesday and the big man from Spain will be out for six weeks. On a team with limited depth, this is a killer.

As much as Lakers fans complain about Gasol, they really need him if they want to make the playoffs. They have zero post depth as it is and who knows how often Dwight Howard can stay in the lineup. The team needs Gasol to play off the bench and give them good minutes. Without him for over a month, the team is going to struggle again.
I still think this team sneaks into the playoffs but it will not be easy. The games they are going to win will not be pretty. They are undersized due to these injuries, so they are going to have to outwork teams to get rebounds. It will be a tough go at first, but everyone needs to give their A effort every single night.
Kobe Bryant is going to do his best to keep turning back the clock, but the injuries may become too much. Gasol is still a very skilled center and a blow like this is hard to overcome. We will see how much fight this Lakers team has as the schedule starts to wind down.
