The Los Angeles Lakers made one of the biggest splashes in the off-season by adding future Hall of Fame point guard Steve Nash to an already potent lineup. They also managed to make another huge acquisition by inking Dwight Howard to a one-year deal.

The Lakers weren’t his first choice, however, as the Brooklyn Nets may have been his top destination, but the Lakers made sure that he wouldn’t choose anyone else.

However, halfway through a disappointing season, the Lakers are thinking they made a big mistake. Los Angeles is currently 11 games out of first place in the Pacific Division and most people believe the playoffs are a long shot. The chemistry in L.A. is not great and Howard is a big reason why.

What better player to take a risk on than the highly-criticized, drama-filled Dwight Howard?

The Houston Rockets are looking to add another piece to their playoff contending puzzle and build around their new superstar, James Harden.

The Rockets are a team known for making moves around the trade deadline. They have been looking to add a big man ever since famed 7-foot-6 center Yao Ming retired. They are a team full of young talent and are also one of the most electrifying teams in the NBA, averaging the second most points per game in the league(105.8).

With the addition of Howard, the Rockets would be a more solid defensive team to go along with a potent offense, making them a championship contender. I bet Rockets fans have mixed feeling about this one.
