It was a rough first half for the Philadelphia 76ers and those woes continued into the second half for them. Being on the outside of the playoffs looking in, they will need a lot of help getting a playoff spot. At the same time, they need to also help themselves.

Losing will not do that. Philadelphia got off to a slow start against the Minnesota Timberwolves and were never able to catch up.

Their shooting was very poor tonight from inside and outside the arch. They also were out-rebounded overall by a 51-39 tally.

With the loss, the Sixers’ road woes continue. It is their seventh straight road loss and they are now a dismal 6-17 on the road. The six road wins is good enoug–or bad enoug–for third worst in the NBA.

If the Sixers have any chance of finding success and somehow making a run into the playoffs, they will need to improve their road record because 18 of the last 30 games for the Sixers will be on the road.

The Sixers will need to regroup real fast as they take on the Miami Heat on Saturday. At this point, almost every game is a must win for the Sixers for them to make a serious playoff push. They need to win and start a serious winning streak.

Unfortunately, I don’t see that happening against the Heat. Unlike the Sixers, they are on a hot streak behind star player Lebron James and his hot shooting.

Sadly, the Sixers started the second half the way they played throughout the first half.
