It was a long night on Wednesday for the Orlando Magic against the Sacramento Kings. The Kings were coming off of a double overtime thriller they lost against the Miami Heat. The Kings were disappointed in the loss, but they appear to have carried their momentum going forward and the Magic were the unfortunate recipients of that momentum.
“At the end of the day the games’ about wins and losses,” Magic forward Al Harrington said. “We wanted to win. Unfortunately we ran into a hot team. They make a lot of jump shots, when we tried to get adjusted to that they made a layup. Just one of those nights when we couldn’t get a stop.”
Harrington had a dreadful night. In 7 minutes he recorded only 3 points and 4 rebounds on 1 of 7 shooting. Tobias Harris was actually the leading scorer for the Magic with 23, but they just couldn’t handle the efficiency of the Kings who shot 54% from the field. It’s been a long and woeful season for the Magic, who lost their star Dwight Howard in the off-season and their second best player, J.J. Redick at the trade deadline. They did not get much back on either trade, and the future does noe look bright for this club. Not much to look forward to for fans of this team; at least they will have a high draft pick this summer.
