Marcus Morris Proving To Be Bonus for Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns had a good week with three wins and not to be overlooked in such a productive time period with a strong performance himself was Marcus Morris, in his fifth game with the team since coming over from the Houston Rockets.

Morris had a quiet game, but a solid one Friday against the Atlanta Hawks in a 92-87 NBA victory on Friday.

The Suns were able to use the 3-pointer to overpower the Hawks and Morris did the best he could to cooperate. He was 5-of-8 from the floor while coming off the bench and scoring 16 points. He also brought down five rebounds.

Morris saw 24 minutes Wednesday in the win over the San Antonio Spurs and was 4-of-8 from the floor for 11 points.

It would be obvious now that the Suns have to get Morris in the lineup as often as possible, and find a  spot for him, whether it be as a starter or off the bench where he can help the team.

The three-game streak is one the Suns shouldn’t be taking lightly but should build off in a major way. It’s been a disappointing season with the team not able to set up a winning record or a playoff spot and now’s the time to get as much positive material out of it before it comes to a close.

Morris is averaging eight points and four rebounds so far this season. He had made significant progress with the Rockets in his second season before being traded to the Suns who saw something they liked in making the deal.

So far, they definitely like what they see in a Suns uniform.
