Los Angeles Lakers: Metta World Peace Compares Playing Injured To Performance in Bed

Metta World Peace has made it clear that he is thrilled to have Dwight Howard as a Los Angeles Lakers teammate in many interviews.

They even irritate David Lee together. On Monday night, World Peace got into it with Lee after he decided to smooth over a bad situation by touching Lee’s hair. Later, Lee gave Howard the World Peace treatment when he elbowed Howard in the face. That’s true teamwork.

When questioned about Howard’s basketball performance this season, World Peace has often cited Howard’s back injury as the reason for his decline.

While keeping Howard’s injury updated to the Bleacher Report, World Peace decided he would work love and basketball into the conversation because, well, why not?

He explained that it’s not only hard to perform well after black surgery on the court, but also everywhere else“it’s like having back surgery, and your partner is asking you to make love the same way,” World Peace said. “It’s impossible, you can’t put your back into it as much. That was a bad analogy probably but it’s funny.”

World Peace continued by saying that Howard is about “70 percent healthy” and “goofy.”

It makes sense that Howard is about 70 precent. He’s been playing through back and shoulder injuries this season and that’s been a big focus point for the criticism the Lakers have received. However, after this last week, it’s clear that injuries are being used as a scapegoat to avoid admitting that this team can’t play together.
