Key Players for Miami Heat will Sit Out Again on Friday
With eight games still remaining in their regular season, the Miami Heat have clinched a berth in the NBA Playoffs and have clinched the top-seed in the Eastern Conference. Including their incredible 27-game win streak, they’ve arguably been the best team in the league this season and have easily been the best team in the East.
Because of all of the success that they’ve already had this year, the Heat now have the luxury of resting their star players so that they are fresh for the postseason. LeBron James and Dwyane Wade have missed the past two games for Miami, one of those games a win over the San Antonio Spurs and the other a loss against the New York Knicks.
That trend is going to continue for at least another game as news has come out that James and Wade will once again be in a suit and tie on Friday night as the Heat take on the Charlotte Bobcats. Mario Chalmers and Ray Allen are also set to join James in Wade in street clothes as their team takes on the squad with the worst record in the NBA.
With those four all not being a part of this game on Friday night, the Heat will be without four of their top-five scorers against Charlotte, Chris Bosh being the only player in the top-five that is scheduled to suit up for the game.
The Heat have already shown, though, against the Spurs that they are able to have a relative amount of success even when their stars aren’t on the floor. Given that they were able to handle the top team in the West without James and Wade, the lowly Bobcats still shouldn’t present much of a challenge to the defending NBA Champions.
