Chicago Bulls Must Blow Out Toronto Raptors

A couple days removed from an embarrassing loss to the Detroit Pistons, the Chicago Bulls look to rebound against another bottom feeder of the NBA. Tonight they square off against the Toronto Raptors who were a team mentioned fairly often in the same conversation with the Bulls early on this season.

The Raptors and Bulls were at one point in serious talks to swap Andrea Bargnani and Jon Lucas III for Carlos Boozer and Nate Robinson. Looking back on that potential disaster of a trade, I am sure the Bulls are glad that never happened.

Both Boozer and Robinson have been the Bulls’ only offense most nights this year, and without them they certainly would not be in the position they currently find themselves in.

Bargnani surely knows how to score, but has not been as consistent as Boozer has been this year for the Bulls. Not only that, but Boozer is light years ahead of Bargnani on the boards.

Tonight the Bulls will need to get a confidence building win by blowing out the Raptors. Losing to the Pistons stung, therefore they are in need of a game to boost their morale.

The Raptors have had inconsistent play from both Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry this season, so things do not bode well for those two going up against great defenders like Kirk Hinrich and Luol Deng.

This will be Boozer’s chance to show the Bulls just how foolish they were to ever even consider swapping him for Bargnani. I would bet that Boozer has a giant game while the Bulls shut down the Raptors with force and they come away with the easy win.
