Miami will be hoping Orlando comes out defeated so that they can have an easy end of the season game. LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade are all ready for the playoffs to begin. The Heat are set to sweep the Eastern Conference and head to another NBA Finals; the game against Orlando is just an annoyance on their way there.
The Magic’s terrible record has assured them of a lottery pick in the 2013 NBA draft, but lately there have been bright signs for the future. Tobias Harris and Nikola Vucevic, two of Orlando’s youngest members, are showing signs of outstanding future potential. Along with a few key additions from the draft and free agency, the Magic could be in the playoff picture in two or three years. Orlando’s roster looks like the Oklahoma City Thunder’s a few years ago – young, talented, but not used to the NBA yet. They’ll get there soon.
Orlando has given Miami good games over the course of the season, but the Heat will still come out on top. There is very little chance that the last place team in the Eastern Conference will beat the first place team. Miami is on a straight path to the NBA Finals and there isn’t a team in the injury laden Eastern Conference that can stop them.
