The Denver Nuggets have quietly morphed into a title contender this season with as the “no superstar team.” Andre Iguodala is the closest thing to a star on the Nuggets’ roster, but Denver has played so well together as a team that it doesn’t matter. George Karl has gotten the most out of his players and big games from no-names throughout the season, which propelled his team to the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference.
The Nuggets will have to be on their game in a series with the Golden State Warriors that will turn into a series of track meets. The Warriors boast the league’s purest shooter in Stephen Curry, who broke the NBA single-season record for three-point shots made in the season finale. Curry will need help from quiet stars like David Lee to outrun the fast Nuggets to win this series.
