Jason Terry Finally Pays Off For Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics blew a 20-point lead to the New York Knicks, but they were able to hold on for the win in overtime. Jason Terry had his best game as a Celtic making clutch shots in the overtime period to put the Celtics up for good. Terry has struggled in his first season with the Celtics, but today he looked like the Terry that led the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA championship in 2011.
With the game tied, Terry hit a huge three pointer to put the Celtics up by three and then he hit a pair of free throws to put the game away. With his clutch shooting, Terry was able to keep Boston alive in this series and keep them from getting swept. Jason was the key to the Celtics victory today in Boston. The Celtics were up by 20 points heading into the second half, but their struggles in the second half of games continued as the Knicks kept creeping back in.
The Knicks had just taken the lead, but Boston was able to tie it back up. That’s when Terry along with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce put the team on their backs. With their veteran leadership the trio took over the game, and it was Terry who scored the Celtics final nine points. This has been the game all Celtics fan have been waiting for from Terry. There was much excitement when he was brought in to be the spark off the bench, and he failed to live up to those expectations. Hopefully this is the game that ignites Terry and keeps the Celtics alive to get back in this series.
