Time for New York Knicks to Send Kevin Garnett Out to Pasture

Ending their playoff series against the Boston Celtics as soon as possible and allowing their players to rest up is the main goal for the New York Knicks in the first round of the 2013 NBA Playoffs.

However, as if New York did not have enough motivation, the ability to send the smack-talking Kevin Garnett out to pasture and into retirement also looms in the balance.

Let’s get one thing straight. Garnett is a great player and will likely be inducted into the Hall of Fame one day. His greatness on the court, however, is matched only by his propensity to exercise his disgustingly foul mouth, for which no limits are realized.

One well-known rumored incident took place while Tim Duncan was approaching the free throw line, where Garnett apparently wished him “Happy Mother’s Day ************.” For those who do not know, Duncan’s mother was deceased.

During a game against the Detroit Pistons, Garnett supposedly called Charlie Villanueva, who suffers from the skin disease alopecia universalis, a “cancer patient.” It is not like cancer is a debilitating epidemic that affects millions of people or anything like that, right KG?

Earlier in this regular season, Garnett also reportedly told Carmelo Anthony that his wife tasted life Honey Nut Cheerios in what will most likely go down as one of the most notorious trash-talking incidents in NBA history. ‘Melo was infuriated to the point of searching for Garnett in the parking lot after the game ended.

While Garnett will be missed by his loyal fans for his ferocious defensive mentality and excellent offensive post game, not many others will shed tears when he and his low-life persona leave the game.

As if beating down Boston would not be enough, the opportunity to eliminate Garnett not only from the playoffs, but potentially from the league, is about as good as it can get for a first-round win for the Knickerbockers.
