The NBA Draft Lottery is on Tuesday night, and the Minnesota Timberwolves are going to send their star power forward Kevin Love to represent the team during the event. Minnesota had better hope that Love can bring some luck to their team and maybe he can be enough for the team to get a top-three pick. It would be a pick that would likely bring some help for Love down low and may even get the Timberwolves back on the winning track.

Minnesota went 31-51 this past season but only had Love for 18 of those games. The talent level is very high on the Timberwolves going forward with players like Ricky Rubio, but if Minnesota can be lucky enough to get a player like Nerlens Noel in the draft, the sky is the limit. Everyone knows that Noel is recovering from a torn ACL and that could mean that he isn’t 100% by the time next season begins, but that is a risk the team has to take if they can pick him.

Love was a monster for the Timberwolves last season, averaging 18.3 points and 14 rebounds per game in his limited play. Don’t you think he is already lobbying for another big man on the inside to help him out since he likes to play from the perimeter a lot? It’s only a matter of time until the ping pong balls are bouncing around for the top picks in the 2013 draft. Minnesota will be trusting Love to come home with one of the top picks because if it works out, the Timberwolves could be an over .500 team next season.
