Vincent Council could be considered one of the more under-appreciated point guards in college basketball over the past few years. After four years at Providence, Council’s career at the collegiate level is over and unfortunately, it ended with a season that certainly didn’t live it up to its billing. Council was injured for a good chunk of the non-conference schedule and then he had some up and down performances down the stretch.

Council has decent size for the point guard position and he can share the ball particularly well thanks to an excellent offensive IQ. Council is not a likely candidate to be drafted this June, but he does have the tools and skill set to earn a summer league spot, but it will be interesting to see how his future unfolds from here.

Strengths: Council can run an offense, that’s for sure. He’s averaged at least six assists per game over each of the past two seasons and his ability to score the basketball is a lot better than what this past season would indicate.

Weaknesses: Council needs to get stronger and he needs to become a bigger threat on the perimeter. Council will shoot the three ball, but he’s never once averaged over 34% from beyond the arc in a season. He needs to improve his shooting efficiency.

Draft Projection: Undrafted
