2013 NBA Playoffs: Chris Bosh Just Can’t Handle Roy Hibbert

Pat Lovell-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers took Game 4 against the Miami Heat, forcing the series to a 2-2 tie. While the Heat and Pacers alike have been very outspoken about the budding rivalry between the two teams, the favorite fell in a tough Game 4.

It’s not often that you see the Miami Heat humbled by much, but after seeing their once promising 2-1 series lead after a blowout win on the road in Game 3, they are just that. Indiana could be one of the biggest surprises of the 2012-13 season after seeing their star Danny Granger go down with a season-ending injury after coming back for a few games.

Game 4 saw the Indiana Pacers take the Heat down to the final minute with a back-and-forth game.

Roy Hibbert proved to be too much for the Chris Bosh and the Heat. Hibbert scored 23 points with 12 rebounds and proved to be way too much for Bosh to handle.

Bosh had nearly as many fouls as he had points, scoring seven points and racking up four fouls. You want to know how many rebounds he had? Yes, you guessed it, he had three rebounds — less rebounds than fouls makes for one of the worst performances of Bosh in the 2013 NBA playoffs thus far.

In the Eastern Conference Finals, Bosh has averaged just 14 points and an embarrassing three rebounds per game. Hibbert, on the other hand, has averaged nearly 23 points and 12 rebounds per game. He has absolutely put Chris Bosh to shame in the conference finals.

Whether it’s the size of the dog in the fight or not, Hibbert is making Bosh second guess even attempting to guard the big man. Absolute mismatch.
