Dwight Howard stated he needed some time to clear his head and get away before making his big decision.
Well, looks like he is doing just that — Howard tweeted a picture and video of him fishing in Lake Tahoe. Of course, in the video he is seen goofing off and not taking anything seriously.

Los Angeles Lakers seem to be very confident that Howard will resign with them, especially after they decided not to trade him before the deadline this year. Talk about rolling the dice.
Technically speaking, free agency doesn’t start until July 1 and teams actually cannot sign players until July 10, but I think it would be better for all parties if Howard makes this decision as soon as possible. Pau Gasol’s future with the Lakers directly depends on Howard’s decision. Gasol told USA Today’s Sam Amick,
“Dwight is looking at his options, and there’s nothing wrong with that, I guess,” Pau said. “I’m not him. I’m not in his position, but I guess it all starts with his decision and I’m sure the franchise is waiting to see whether he decides to sign (with the Lakers) or sign with somebody else, I guess.”
At this point, I’ll let Howard sign with another team who wants to deal with his drama. Andrew Bynum is set to become a free agent, and there is a high likelihood he won’t sign with the Philadelphia 76ers. Bynum missed the entire season last year, but I’d rather have him over Howard anyway.
