Game 1 of the 2013 NBA Finals was every bit as awesome as we thought it would be. Evident by Tony Parker‘s cool 21-point performance and Lebron James‘ third finals triple-double, it’s history in the making.
On the one hand you have James, who now ranks second in all-time in finals triple-doubles, trailing only Magic Johnson‘s record of eight. On the the other hand you have Parker, who’s making a legitimate case for himself as the league’s best point guard with shots like this:

But, of course, someone always has to take it the fun a little too far. Dick Vitale took it too far — and it’s hard not to love him for it.

Best. Thing. Ever. Or the creepiest. I’m not really sure at this point. But major props to Vitale for his seamless troll job. Which only adds to his incredible resume of face-palm worthy moments.
Anyhow, Game 2 is set to tip off on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. It’s also worth noting that whoever wins Game 1 in a Finals series goes on to claim the O’Brien 71 percent of the time. Bud oddly enough, neither team to win Game 1 in the last two years has gone on to claim it.
