2013 NBA Draft Rumors: Could Cleveland Cavaliers Really Be Considering Alex Len With No. 1 Overall Pick?

Joe Camporeale-USA Today Sports

The 2013 NBA Draft is becoming more and more unpredictable. Now with that being said, some rumors are taken with a grain of salt, but others are surely worth considering.

Well, what about the Cleveland Cavaliers and the potential of making Maryland Terrapins sophomore Alex Len the No. 1 overall pick?

Yea, it seems crazy, right? Len is a project guy in a weak NBA Draft, but he has shown tons of potential and promise since making the decision to enter the field this past spring.

According to ESPN‘s Chad Ford, the Cavaliers are still considering the option, but it appears to be just another thought at this time. Other names like Nerlens Noel, Victor Oladipo, Otto Porter Jr. and Ben McLemore are also on the table for the Cavaliers at No. 1 and we know that at the top overall selection, a team has their choice of anyone on the board. Well, Cleveland appears set on taking advantage of that phrase.

Now, with all these rumors buzzing around, if Cleveland is set on a prospect like Len, trading down might be the best option. So, if they do feel as if Len is their guy, this could be the direction that they look into. Len is rising up the draft boards, but to take him at No. 1 would probably be an oversight. Then again, this is a fairly weak draft at the top, so would that really even matter if Cleveland is sold on Len?

This is all speculation, so hold tight Cavaliers’ fans, this is a just a potential option being looked into.

Posted by Bleacher Report on Wednesday, February 10, 2016

On Wednesday night, the Los Angeles Lakers made a fourth-quarter comeback against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but ultimately lost 120-111. Unfortunately, along the way, rookie point guard D'Angelo Russell was struck in the groin by an errant pass at the hands of LeBron James, and ended up on the floor in quite a bit of agony as any man would. Thankfully, after leaving the game for a few minutes, Russell was able to return.

Watch Kyrie Irving Pull Off A Spin-Deke

Kyrie Irving is obviously very talented, and but this spin move to get open for a jump shot taught a Boston Celtics player not to be overly aggressive when closing out.
