Phoenix Suns: Remodeled Court Means New Uniforms Very Soon

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Phoenix Suns recently underwent a remodeling to their home court in effort to clean things up a bit. The new court features much less purple and more black. Could this suggest a uniform change in the future?

There will certainly be a disconnect between the Suns’ uniforms and their newly designed court if no change takes place in the uniforms.  Good news however; according to a source at NBC in Arizona, the Suns have altered their logos as well in preparation of a uniform change.

No major changes were made. There is simply a lot less purple and in place of that they added more black. The logos are said to look much cleaner and more crisp without all the purple.

This is not the first change the Suns have made this offseason. Hiring brand new head coach Jeff Hornacek was the big headline move of the summer so far. Phoenix hopes that Hornacek can assist in transforming their current below-average roster into a playoff contender.

With help through the 2013 NBA Draft, the Suns will likely look to grab the best player available at either the two or three spot. At this point,  Shannon Brown and Wes Johnson haven’t panned out the way they thought would happen.

Hopefully, Phoenix can use this color scheme shift in its favor. Like the New Orleans Pelicans, they are not the only ones going through a major face lift. Will the visual changes equal more wins and potentially a playoff berth?

I would venture to say probably not right away. But, Phoenix can only hope there is a change in the attitude and energy of their fans because of it.
