The Atlanta Hawks have already missed out on Dwight Howard, and have to do something now to feel as though they didn’t ‘miss out’ on the offseason of 2013. Atlanta has been rumored to be interested in Milwaukee Bucks guards Monta Ellis and Brandon Jennings to replace Jeff Teague who — ironically enough — could be headed to the Bucks.
Milwaukee offered a deal to Teague this week and Atlanta has to decide whether to match it or go after Jennings or Ellis at this point. Well, from the looks of it, neither could wind up happening.

If the Hawks were to decline matching Teague’s offer from the Bucks, they could wind up empty handed when all is said and done. Apparently, Ellis and Jennings may be making Atlanta nervous and if they do not make an offer to either one and allow Teague to go to the Bucks they will be without a point guard.
Having lost their biggest ‘star’ in Josh Smith, the Hawks could be in serious trouble if they do not make a move to put themselves in a competitive position going into next season.
There is always the notion that if they don’t do anything at all that they could be in the running for some big names next summer, not to mention putting themselves in better position for the 2014 NBA Draft. Well, to the dislike of Hawks fans, this seems to be a real possibility.
Atlanta will have next to nothing in 2013 if things keep going the way they appear to be, and they’ll be on their way to missing the playoffs.
