Addition of Marco Belinelli to San Antonio Spurs Could Be End for Manu Ginobli

Steve Mitchell- USA Today Sports

The recent free agent addition of Marco Belinelli could mean the end of the road for Manu Ginobli. Let’s all be real; Ginobli caved in the playoffs and probably only had three quality games throughout the whole time. That hurts me to admit, because I am a fan of the man but the facts are just in front of us. Belinelli will be relied upon more than Ginobli next season, because Belinelli has helped a playoff team more recently in a more substantial way than Ginobli.

It will be intriguing to see how the end of Ginobli’s career plays out whether it is in Europe or it remains here in the U.S. The loss of athleticism has hurt his game although he can still be a major factor in setting up others for the assist which is a crucial skill to have. Ginobli was a force of nature in his prime and almost impossible to stay in front of; watching him devolve has been sad, but Father Time as we all know is undefeated and has yet to be bested.

Stephen Curry Puts On A Clinic Against Spurs

NBA fans and media alike were incredibly excited for the first meeting of the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors this season, and many expected an uber-competitive game to take place on Monday night. Well, the game was enthralling, but not very competitive. Stephen Curry put on a clinic, and was dribbling circles around the Spurs throughout. Here's some evidence. If that floater wasn't epic enough, in the second-half Curry added this drive in which he pulled the magic out on Jonathon Simmons.

Watch Spurs HC Popovich Pull Fast One On Parker

San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich has become synonymous for his cold shoulder handling of the media, but he does have a wry sense of humor on occasion. This little clip is hilarious how he just messes with Tony Parker. I couldn't stop laughing.

Barkley Calls Leonard Best Player In The World

Kawhi Leonard is one of the best young players in the NBA today and there's no disputing that. Charles Barkley however, believes that Leonard is the best player in the entire world and there has never been a more ridiculous statement to come out of his mouth. If you take Leonard away from the Spurs, they would find a way to be competitive. Take LeBron James or Stephen Curry away from their teams, and they don't have a chance.
