Plenty of speculation has been following the Phoenix Suns around this offseason, trying to determine how the roster will shape up with some of the new additions to the team.
One thing is certain: the Suns will need another huge season from veteran guard Goran Dragic
The team has made some key offseason acquisitions but will still rely heavily on Dragic, who is hoping the Suns can improve dramatically from a 25-52 record last season. Dragic will be a key to the Suns’ success. Granted, there will be plenty of angles and keys behind any potential success the Suns hope to have next season. Every position is up for grabs; the Suns have to determine which players they have for each position and then proceed from there.
Dragic leads the way after completing his fifth NBA season, averaging 14.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game. For his career, Dragic is averaging 22.5 minutes per game. However, he averaged 33.5 minutes per game last season.
Dragic proved himself to be an excellent playmaker for the Suns last season. The Suns have added new players to help Dragic increase Phoenix’s point production. Phoenix already knows what it can expect to get from Dragic; he’s as steady a player as there is in the NBA. In the final three games of the 2012-13 regular season, he posted 21 points twice. The Suns will need to get more of that next year if they hope that continue building their team and looking more a more successful season.
