Detroit Pistons big-men Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe continue to participate in the Team USA Basketball minicamp this week. The minicamp will culminate on July 25 with an intrasquad scrimmage at 6 p.m. local time. NBA TV will be broadcasting the scrimmage live.

The NBA tweeted out a picture of what appears to be the two rosters for the game this afternoon. The picture displays the players split up into two teams: blue and white. Andre Drummond is on the white team, while fellow-Piston Greg Monroe is placed on the blue team.

The two may end up matching up at some point in the game as Monroe will likely take reps at center. The blue team big-man rotation consists of Anthony Davis, Derrick Favors and Demarcus Cousins alongside Monroe. Davis and Favors are both primarily power forwards, leaving Monroe to split minutes at his most comfortable position, center, with Cousins.

Drummond and Monroe have both drawn praise from Syracuse head coach and USA basketball assistant Jim Boeheim. Boeheim coached against both bigs during their time in the Big East and now sees the steps forward they’ve taken with their games.

Speaking with Keith Langlois of Pistons.com, Boeheim had only good things to say about the two Pistons:

“Greg Monroe is a tremendous, skilled big guy. He can shoot the ball, he can pass and he’s got just a great future.”

“Andre has got such a physical presence on the court,” Boeheim said. “You forget he’s still young, but he’s got such a presence out there and he’s going to get better. People have to remember, the Olympics is still three years away. How much better is he going to get in three years?”
