The Boston Celtics New Era

Winslow Townson-USA Today Sports

The time has come! The NBA has released the schedule for the upcoming NBA season. The Boston Celtics, who are coming off a summer where there were a lot of changes, look to start a new season off that will have a lot of people watching to see how they do. This is a new era for the Celtics, and this could be a frustrating season for Celtics' fans, who have grown accustomed to seeing a good experienced team on the floor. New coach Brad Stevens comes over from Butler with high praise from his peers, but will his game translate to the NBA?

Surprisingly the Celtics didn't get the Brooklyn Nets or even the Los Angeles Clippers in the opening game after the teams were linked to each other throughout the offseason. The Nets and Celtics won't even meet until December 10 and then they will return to Boston to face their old coach. That is a very clever move by the NBA schedule makers having the teams that the Celtics dealt players and a coach to meet up on back to back nights.

With a new team set to take the floor under new coach Stevens here are the top 5 games to look out for. Boston Celtics W-L record (41-40) finished 7th in the Eastern Conference Playoff Appearance: Lost in first round to New York Knicks Key Losses: Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Jason Terry Key Additions: Brad Stevens, Kelly Olynyk, Kris Humphries, Gerald Wallace, MarShon Brooks, Keith Bogans
