The Los Angeles Clippers have improved upon what was already one of the most exciting teams in the NBA this off-season. To go along with Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin, the Clips have added a litany of solid player on the wing in Jared Dudley, J.J. Redick and rookie Reggie Bullock.

The Clippers were already considered one of the most fun teams to watch and the addition of several sharpshooting wings only increases their entertainment value. That’s why, after the schedule for the 2013-2014 NBA season was announced on Tuesday, it’s not really that big of a surprise that the Clippers are part of the best matchup on the NBA’s most marquee day of the season, Christmas Day.

On Dec. 25, the Clippers will travel to the Bay Area to vaunted ORACLE Arena to take on the young Golden State Warriors team. Based on those teams alone playing one another, two teams who should be in the mix near the top of the Western Conference, that is going to be a fantastic game. When you start to consider all of the talent that’s going to be on the floor, it’s really going to be incredible.

Of course it’s going to be fun seeing Griffin, Jamal Crawford, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala and David Lee on the floor, but the most fun is going to be watching the matchup at point guard. It’s not every day that two of the best point guards in the league, Paul and Stephen Curry in this case, battling it out on a big stage, but that’s what NBA fans are going to be treated to on Christmas Day.

Not only will this matchup be entertaining, but it will also be a gauge of where the Clippers are as a team in the upcoming season. With the talent they have, there are legitimate title expectations for this team. Playing against one of the best teams in the West in a high-profiled game will be a good litmus test to see if those expectations are realistic or not. No matter if the Clips win or lose, though, it’ll be more than enjoyable to watch.
