Best Game on Denver Nuggets 2013-2014 NBA Schedule

Danilo Gallinari

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

It was tough to watch George Karl‘s team be plagued with injuries down the stretch last season, and equally tough to watch him get fired after winning NBA Coach of the Year honors. One would think this team played exceptionally above expectations en route to a No. 3 seed. Alas, Danilo Gallinari‘s late-season injury left them without enough long-range firepower to keep up with the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

The Denver Nuggets‘ 2013-2014 NBA schedule shapes up relative strong just by virtue of playing in the Western Conference. Sitting behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Northwest Division and fighting off a young, rising Portland Trailblazers squad presents challenges as well. And who knows, maybe the Minnesota Timberwolves will finally step up.

Game of the Year: 12/23 vs. Golden State.

The Nuggets must wait a while to exact a measure of revenge on team that upset them in round one of the playoffs, but finally get their chance in late December. It will be interesting to see if a healthy Gallinari can really tip this matchup in Denver’s favor.
