2013 NBA Preseason Schedule: Denver Nuggets Will Be Tested in a Big Way in Exhibition Play

NBA fans can start getting excited. I know, it’s only August, but in less than two months the preseason kicks off and that means the regular season is right around the corner.

With such an entertaining offseason so far, it almost seems like the regular season should be further away, but alas, it is nearing quicker than ever.

The Denver Nuggets found out who they will be warming up against during the exhibition period and their seven game stretch is nothing to mess around with. All but one team could legitimately make the postseason in 2013, and a handful could find themselves in the Finals.

Beginning on October 6th, the Nuggets will take on the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center. Two days later on the 8th, the two teams will go at it again in Southern California. Whether or not Kobe Bryant will be back by then is up in the air, but if he is, expect a large crowd even for a preseason matchup in both games.

The Nuggets will only play two home games out of their seven in the preseason. They take on the San Antonio Spurs October 14th and the Phoenix Suns on the 23rd. The Suns are the only team out of all their preseason games that will likely not make the playoffs in 2013.

The other three games on the slate feature three tough teams who will be competing for a championship next season: The Los Angeles Clippers, Oklahoma City Thunder and Chicago Bulls.

New head coach Brian Shaw will be able to gauge just how well he has prepared his guys entering his first season as the team’s head man based off an above-average group of opponents. Like I said before fans, it’s less than two months away. Are you ready?
