With a healthy Dwyane Wade the Heat could avoid the questions of whether James would have to go elsewhere to find a quality running mate.
"I'm not done yet," Wade said to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "I still got more in the tank. Like I said, my focus is just to make sure physically I can do the things I need to do. My skills haven't diminished by no stretch of the imagination."
After sitting out the last three seasons, Miami will look to slowly ease Greg Oden into the lineup after rehabbing from his third micro fracture surgery.
"He's come to the right place," Dwyane Wade said to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "They will do everything in their power to make sure that he's able to be on the court and be effective. They're doing a good job. Hopefully he doesn't rush it. We take him step by step."
Pat Riley may own the term three-peat, but the Chicago Bulls made it famous. They also became famous for their NBA record 72 wins during the 1995-96 season.
It’s a record that the Heat should strive for; and one that many believe that they could reach.
“They will break the (Michael Jordan Bulls’) single-season win record (of 72),” former coach Jeff Van Gundy told the Miami Herald back in 2010. “…They are unguardable. They are indefensible. They are just too good…”
What better time than now to prove the sarcastic Van Gundy right?
