Memphis has the big men and defense to give any team fits. The lack of perimeter scoring is what is preventing them from being in the top 5.

New York has improved their defense with Metta World Peace and outside shooting with Andrea Bargnani. If they can get a healthy Amar'e Stoudemire and an inspired Carmelo Anthony they will be dangerous to any team in the East.

8. Golden State Warriors

With the addition of Andre Iguodala, Golden State will take a big leap forward. They lost a lot of bench scoring with Jarrett Jack and Carl Landry leaving, but they will be much improved defensively.

7. Houston Rockets

Houston made the biggest offseason splash for the second straight year by adding Dwight Howard. If he can gel with James Harden and Chandler Parsons early on, they will be in contention for the top seed in the West.

1. Indiana Pacers
