Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders is making headlines left and right since the end of the 2012-13 NBA season. For the most part, the headlines have been good, with the exception of him getting injured during a practice with Team USA this summer. Unfortunately, his latest headline is even worse, depending on how it is received.
Sanders got two tattoos in response to him signing a four-year, $44 contract extension that makes him the highest paid player on the Bucks. On one hand, Sanders has the word “Ask” tattooed. On the other hand, he has the word “Recieve.” I understand I did not spell the word correctly. Unfortunately, Sanders did not figure that mistake out until it was too late. What makes it even funnier is the fact that he posted photos on Instagram of the mistake before realizing the blunder had occurred.
The 24-year-old had a mental lapse during the tattoo and apparently, once he realized an error was made. The following was his response to several people on Instagram pointing out the fail:
“Jzhsjaalaksuwutzbekelsppanqhwnejxyqvehdhsndldlkbb Excuse my language folks
Same meaning..different spelling lol”
The way I see it is the misspelled tattoo is not a big deal. Sure, it is really funny that a grown man made a costly mistake. However, I rather have Sanders concentrating on making the Bucks better instead of fielding questions about how he could have possibly misspelled the word “receive.”
Hopefully, it will all blow over soon. However, I have to imagine his teammates will give him a hard time once training camp starts.
