Can Derrick Rose Return To Form? Chicago Bulls Coach Tom Thibodeau Says Yes
It’s the beginning of September. Summer is almost over, and fall is approaching fast. That means NBA training camp is right around the corner, and with it many storylines. One of the most anticipated storyline is the Chicago Bulls getting their former MVP and best player back.
His name is Derrick Rose. Remember him, right? The 6-foot-3, quick, slashing and unstoppable point guard? Rose is coming back from an ACL tear after sitting out the whole 2012 season. Many fans, players around the league and his teammates are ready to see if he can return to form. One person thinks he will definitely get back to being one of the best players in the league: his coach, Tom Thibodeau.
Coach Thibs had promised Rose that he would visit him in the offseason to check on his game and health. Recently, Thibodeau came through on his promise and visited D. Rose in Los Angeles to watch him work out. According to many reports, Thibodeau left there highly impressed.
Thibodeau says that Rose looks much stronger, confident, and has added more weapons to his offensive repertoire. Rose has added more range on his jumper and is working on a left-handed floater.
The preseason will be a big test for Derrick Rose. This is where he can show off these new wrinkles in his game, but the main thing for him and the Bulls will be his health. Thibodeau already said he will not hold Rose back from any game action. Once he sees Rose cutting and slashing on that knee, the sky’s the limit. This is bad news for opposing teams. The force they call D. Rose is returning with vengeance.
