Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon Thinks Oklahoma City’s Kevin Durant Needs Low Post Training
Whoa now. Shots are being fired across bows, and it appears we might have a legitimate Western Conference rivalry developing between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets, and things might get real personal real quick. Hakeem “The Dream” Olajuwon recently said that he thinks Kevin Durant needs the Hall of Fame center’s low post training. The awkward part of this is that rumors have been swirling the Olajuwon will be a part of the Rockets coaching staff, so giving Durant advice is a little bit awkward at this point. Especially considering that with the recent addition of Dwight Howard the Rockets might be on a collision course for the Thunder in the playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of quality teams out West, however James Harden is a stud. He pushed the Thunder to six games without Howard last season, so you would expect them to at least get out of the first round. That is my expectation to be sure, but for Olajuwon’s sake I hope he has not awakened the sleeping dragon inside of Durant. If Durant takes his low post game to a new level next season though, it could be just the catalyst the Thunder need in order to take the next step
