Like Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard’s confidence, but it will take supreme effort from the entire team to make 46 wins happen Love the addition of C.J. McCollum to the team, but there have been odd rumblings about LaMarcus Aldridge this summer that troubled me a bit. It seems that barring huge success Aldridge might move on to another team after this season but we will just have to wait and see about that. He has not quite taken the steps in improving his game that I’d like to see and hopefully the power forward has developed a bit more over the summer. You can check out the video of Lillard predicting 46 wins below and if the young point guard can put together an All Star season then that win total might just be reachable.

McCullom and Lillard are going to be a nightmare matchup and if they can get some low post scoring help from Aldridge, then this team will have some potent scoring lineups. Defense might be a bit of an issue and Nicolas Batum is a player who masks some of those deficiencies, but the small forward is also another season to be excited about the Blazers potential. If I was forced to predict I see them winning about 43 games and possibly battling it out for eighth seed in the playoffs. That is all dependent on health of course, but the Blazers are a young team and myself does not anticipate injuries being a major issue for them next season. In any case, keep an eye on Lillard’s game this year and if he has improved his perimeter jumping even more, then we might be in for a wild ride.
