Recently came across a great piece lately from Hoopsworld.com’s Alex Kennedy about Phoenix Suns point guard Eric Bledsoe and how many believe he will emerge as a star in the league in the next couple years. You can read the full piece by Kennedy below and definitely recommend doing so.

Loved to watch Bledsoe play last season with the Los Angeles Clippers, but it will be interesting to see if he can continue to produce solid numbers while playing the full year. Definitely count Jamal Crawford among Bledsoe’s supporters like in this brief excerpt of the article above.
“He’ll be a star, no question,” Crawford said to HoopsWorld. “The guidance and tutelage from Chris and Chauncey and Mo Williams, who was here before, only made him better as a point guard. He’ll definitely be a star. I don’t know when because everybody’s curve is a little bit different, but there’s no question he’ll be a star. He has the athletic ability and he wants to get better. He has gotten better.”
Having point guards like Chris Paul and Chauncey Billups as examples in the locker room certainly helped Bledsoe’s development, but now we’ll see if Bledsoe can step out on his own and accomplish something special in the desert. Definitely remember last year Paul talking about how Bledsoe would make life miserable in practice, and Paul always stressed to his younger counterpart to do the same thing in games. Next year, Bledsoe will not have Paul’s example to turn to, but it will actually be Bledsoe who is looked to provide an example to the younger players on the team. In any case, next season will probably be a wash for the Suns, but they now have an intriguing backcourt pairing in Bledsoe and Goran Dragic that will make noise in the future.
