Utah Jazz forward Gordon Hayward impressed many with his improved play last season and he could be in for a break out year this coming year. All Star selection is probably too much to ask, but could see him averaging around 18 points a game in efficient fashion. Who knows though maybe he is capable of even more. Hayward is training this season in Indianapolis, although he did take a break for the Team USA minicamp.
“I’m lucky to have a place like this where I can train,” he said to the Indianapolis Star. “A lot of guys have to travel and are all over the place. It’s cool that I can be here and hang out with friends and family and still get plenty of basketball work in.”
Jazz fans will be glad to hear as well that the team is working on an extension, so hopefully they will work that out soon on terms that suit both sides. He is a crucial part of the franchise’s future, that much is certain. First saw that news in the below tweet.

Hayward is going to be counted on as a leader more for the Jazz next season, than ever in the past. So I hope the young man is ready, because there is going to be a lot more scourging responsibility for him next season although not sure it will be enough to get the Jazz into the playoffs. Not sure that they have enough talent on the roster this season to make that a likely reality.
