As I look at Kyle Korver’s page on the NBA home page it strikes me that he has shot forty percent from three for his career. That is damn good. He had a few seasons in a row where he dipped below the .400 mark, but since shooting an astounding .536 in the 2009-2010 season.
This is a guy who can flat out shoot, and when you have a player like him you can cover up a lot of your team’s deficiencies. His defense? Admittedly is not elite, but believe he is better than many give him credit for. Oh and this is one of those deficiencies that his shooting often makes up for. Saw the piece below recently about how he should have a breakout year, and in part I agree.

Korver’s career high scoring average was 14.4 in the 2006-2007 season, and believe here that Korver will eclipse that next season. Definitely see him in the starting lineup playing at least 34 to 36 minutes per game. Basketball-Reference projects that he will score 13.1 points per game next season while shooting about ten shots a game and making about four and a half. Honestly think Korver should shoot waaaaaay more than that in the range of 15 to 20 shots a game. Barring an MVP type season from Al Horford though, really do not see them making the playoffs next season despite shooting their way back into many games. One thing is clear to me though, it is going to be a scoring fiesta for Korver.
