Al Jefferson is going to have quite a different season than he is used to, and he is going to be looked at as a leader early and often for the Charlotte Bobcats. He will definitely score a lot of points next season, but the Bobcats defensively might be pretty rough to watch. It is definitely good that Michael Jordan handed over personnel decisions though, and hopefully that will lead to more success in the future. Jordan was probably the greatest of all time, but as an owner it has not gone well so far.
Recently saw the interview with Jefferson below, and he finally has a home in North Carolina but is still settling down a bit. He says he will “play a big role” leadership-wise for the ‘Cats.

In the end, not sure it is truly going to matter for the Bobcats. Kemba Walker is a nice player, but I see him more as a sixth man off the bench than as a starter in the league, and the Bobcats roster as a whole is probably the worst in the league even includiing Jefferson but that is just my opinion. Maybe Walker and Jefferson will prove me wrong though and carry this team to the playoffs, but the Bobcats track record is not so great in that regard.
