There is a different aura going around the Chicago Bulls camp for the 2013-14 season. Seems like something magical is building. The team looks very much intact, healthy and ready to roll. That looks like a winning recipe for a championship contender.
Is that enough to get them past the two-time champs, the Miami Heat? Only time will tell, but the Bulls are all the way in on the winning the whole thing.
The Bulls know they can match up against any team in the league. They have enough firepower in the starting line-up and off the bench. They also will be getting their leader and former MVP, Derrick Rose, back from ACL surgery. Early signs in training camp have D. Rose being very aggressive and playing hard. He's slowly getting his timing and quickness back to return to elite status. That will be a major boost to the Bulls' chances of winning it all.
The main issue for the Bulls last season was health. They just couldn't keep enough healthy bodies throughout the season. But coach Tom Thibodeau did not use that as an excuse. Anybody that knows coach Thibs he will not let his team quit or give up. He will say we have to go with what we have and still compete. The Bulls did compete and went all the way to the second round of the playoffs. Nobody could of predicted that outcome, but that says a lot about if the Bulls were healthy, the outcome of last season might of been different.
It's a new season on the horizon and Chicago is buzzing right now. New expectations, a clean bill of health and some minor changes to the roster. But one common goal: winning it all. Here are the top five reasons the Chicago Bulls will be serious threats for the championship.
Coach Tom Thibodeau is one of the best coaches in the league. He squeezes the most out of his players and they respect him for that. He is a tireless worker and very detailed oriented. He is driven by toughness, defense and his team has taken on that identity.

The Bulls play a physical and tough defense. They are among the best defensive teams in the league the past three years. They bring athletism, quickness and toughness. It is always a journey to try to score against them.

They've been called "Da Bench Mob" for a reason. The Bulls always carry a deep bench. This season will be no exception. With veterans like Kirk Hinrich, Taj Gibson and Mike Dunleavy, the Bulls have serious firepower to match up against the elite teams.

When you have a top-five player coming back from injury, this automatically puts you in the elite category. D. Rose will be back and you can count on him getting his status back as one of the best in the league.
